Gill was born in Doncaster, South Yorkshire and moved to Nottingham. After a career as a Legal Secretary and a Nursery Teacher, she has recently taken up photography. Gill developed an interest in photography from her father and recently borrowed her husband's SLR camera. She says that 'when I am taking photographs, I get a 'buzz' and feel creative'.
